Our Team, UiOslo_Norway with the project MizroOganizer fulfill the criteria for bronze medal. We have completed the (1)Team registration and the (2) Judging form. Our (3)Wiki is complete with all required components including a good description of what each student members have contributed with (5). The new (6)Biobricks: “Betagalactosidase subunit Beta Stop and Signaling peptide” has been made, sequenced, registered and sent in to the iGEM registry.  Our team is looking forward to (4) present our work in at the Giant Jamboree in Boston, both with a poster and a talk. Unfortunally we did not get any future on the laboratory work due to time limits.

UiOslo IGEM 2014

Achievements

Achievements.

As the first Team from the University of Oslo participating in this competition our main focus was to get to know the principles behind iGEM and all the different aspects of the competition as much as planning and do the project. The human practices were also looked on as one of our most important aspects because this idea of biological engineering is completely new and unknown to most people in Oslo – we changed that!

We are proud of our communication to Oslo. We have written articles published in different journals, held presentations with different levels of scientific content, got interviewed by journalists, - and managed to deal with situations happening when dealing with the press.

Our biggest Achievement is still that we, as a group of 7 students, have planned and completed an iGEM project.
