Subteams

Biosafety

This subteam works on mechanisms to converse our E. coli strain to a safety strain. One the one hand this team works on an antibiotics free selection system and on the other hand on a kill switch.

This subteam works with the transformation of a heterotroph organism to an autotroph organism. The aim is to realize the whole Calvin cycle. The main focus lies on the use of the carboxysome.

The homepage and wiki team publishes new information about the team and the project on both webpages.

For a proof of concept one team works on the production of isobutanol. In theory there are more carbon sources which can be used by producing pyruate. This work bases on the work of iGEM Team Formosa 2011 and 2012.
