This was done in part to stimulate discussions about Synthetic Biology in a pressure-free environment. The second meet up onwards, everyone was also asked to fill feedback sheets for every team's presentation. Students were also split up into smaller groups for more one-to-one feedback and discussion regarding troubleshooting tips, the role of bio-design automation and software tools in the SynBio community. This way all teams could better learn from each other's mistakes and issues, provide pointed feedback and ultimately, learn to engage with people on topics of academic significance. |
