What facinates me about the iGEM the most, is the chance of designing and realising such an enormous project, autonomously. As Co-founder of our team, I am really glad that we have established such a diverse team, together exploring synthetic biology as a promising, novel field of reasearch.
The iGEM-competition bears a unique potential to learn not only new biotechnological techniques and methods, but also get to know and gain experience a lot of areas such as in engineering, public relations and fundraising.
Moreover, the prospect to face and solve the challenges of participating in an international competition tempts me. I particularly await visiting Boston and take part in the final Jamboree!!
If there i some time apart from working for the iGEM I love to go dancing or enjoy reading some thrilling books.
