Stock Solutions
Antibiotics
Ampicillin
1.Mix
- 4 g ampicillin (100 mg/mL)
- ad. 40 mL ddH2O
2. sterile filtration
3. aliquot in 1 mL stocks and store at -20°C
4. use 1 µL per 1 mL medium
Chloramphenicol
1.Mix
- 1 g chloramphenicol
- ad. 40 mL ethanol
2. aliquot in 1mL stocks and store at -20°C
3. use 1µL per 1mL medium
Kanamycin
1.Mix
- 3 g kanamycin (75 mg/mL)
- ad. 40 mL ddH2O
2.sterile filtration
3.aliquot in 1 mL stocks and store at -20°C
4. use 1µL per 1mL medium
Induction chemicals
IPTG (Isopropyl-beta-D-thiogalactopyranoside)
1. Dissolve 238 mg IPTG in 10 mL water
2. store in 1mL aliquots at -20°C
