Human Practice

The HKUST iGEM 2014 team has three main components for human practice: Handbook, workshop, and education. Our goal is to bring the idea of synthetic biology to wide range of audience and various areas of the society. We target group audience freshmen in college, students in secondary school, and finally, members within the iGEM society. Each group of audience has potential to contribute to field of synthetic biology in different ways, and we believe giving same amount of effort and attention to all will ensure the healthy growth and development of the field of synthetic biology.

Scientific contributions focus primarily on describing related empirical facts about the universe, exploring the context and parameters concerning the 'how' of life. Science also studies and can provide recommendations for the pursuit of well-being and a related conception of morality.
