Vera AlexandrovaQueen of Plasmid Prep

Vera is studying Biology B.Sc. in her fifth semester at RWTH Aachen University, with focus on biochemistry and molecular cell biology.

Vera grew up in Russia. She decided to move to Germany in 2010 and began her studies in biology at RWTH one year later. Last year she completed a research internship at the Institute of Biochemistry at the RWTH Aachen Teaching Hospital, where she’s also going to write her bachelor thesis. For Vera, the most exciting part of the iGEM competition is about working in the lab, because she already has experience in this field, and is glad to share it with other members of the team. Vera likes modern and classical ballet, but would like to try other dance arts and participate in some dance festivals.
