Introduction to TXTL
TXTL is a cell-free transcription translation system that allows for rapid prototyping of biological circuits.
Anderson Promoters
We characterized the strengths of a family of constitutive promoters in TXTL. We sought to test the Anderson promoters, which were contributed in 2006 by Berkeley's iGEM team. The first figure shows the reported RFP fluorescence values measured in vivo by Anderson et al for different constitutive promoter constructs. The second figure shows the in vitro RFP fluorescence values measured for the same promoters using TXTL.
