We collaborated with the [https://2014.igem.org/Team:Edinburgh Edinburgh iGEM team 2014]. Their project is focused on communication between bacteria using metabolites as communicating molecules. Combining one metabolite molecule with another quorum sensing molecule could be a solution to avoid cross-talk. We derived a model on the molecular level of their problem (see the [https://2014.igem.org/Team:ETH_Zurich/modeling/qs#Alternate_Design Alternate Design section on the quorum sensing module]).
