Guidelines

Want to participate in iGEM? Start a team! Whether you're a student or an instructor, you can start at team at your university.

More specific information on how to start a team will be added soon but in the meantime, start thinking about the following:

  1. Every team must have two instructors
  2. Teams are generally between 6 to 12 students, from any discipline
  3. Start fundraising now! Will students get stipends? What about reagents? Remember to budget for travel to the Giant Jamboree!
  4. Dive in to learning about synthetic biology
