Safety

To avoid an eventual contamination and apply the emergency mesures in the lab,

deep attention is taken to use safely our lab equipement and our EColi bacteria.

Because our system could be used to enhance the production of a dangerous protein,

gloves, glasses and coat are part of our usual equipment,

especially during electrophoresis.

The containment of the bacteria should not be a primary issue:

Indeed, our project has a build-in biocontainment component. The antitoxin production is under

the control of an arabinose-dependant promoter. If the bacteria escape from the bioreactor, they will no longer

be provided with arabinose, thus they will stop producing the antitoxin and they will quickly die.
