           <p>Rohit is a fourth-year Bioengineering: Bioinformaatics major who is interested in entering the bioinformatics startup industry after graduation. Having served as UBIC's Financial Officer last year, Rohit looks forward to continuing UBIC's success and to working with new board members. He hopes to share bioinformatics knowledge with many students and to build a community of dedicated bioinformatics undergraduates. In his free time, Rohit  likes to play piano, work out, and serve as an active member of the UCSD Quiz Bowl club.</p>

Synthetic Genomics

Synthetic Genomics Inc. was founded to commercialize genomic-driven technologies. Our scientific strength lies in the decades of pioneering research by founders, J. Craig Venter, Ph.D., Nobel Laureate Hamilton O. Smith, M.D., and the leading scientific teams they have assembled. Dr. Venter and his teams have proven track records of making scientific breakthroughs that translate into viable commercial solutions. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to them for supporting our team at iGEM 2014.
