We are working with Antony Evans of the Glowing Plant Project to create a guide to responsible innovation for the DIY bio network and others. Specifically, we propose a concept mapping framework for assessing potential ethical, legal, social, and environmental outcomes associated with the environmental release of genetically engineered plants, then apply this framework to the Glowing Plant, the world’s first and only crowd-funded genetically engineered organism.
