A project is like a seed which require some elements to grow up, in order to bud (bourgeonner)

This is why our team required the help of others specialist in different domain.
The work lab was done by 9members of the Igem Bordeaux team 2014 during the summer,we was sub devised in groups and every one was responsible of a particular work.

- Justine and Zohra :
- Jean Remy and Edouard :
- Caroline , Laurianne and Cassandra :
- Claudia , Hiba and Gilles :
The students developed the project independently during several brainstorming sessions at the European Institute of Chimistry and Biology.
All of the designs, constructs, and experiments presented in this Wiki were performed by the students of the team.
The instructors and advisors were providing feedbacks and advices, when we need it.

Advisors and supervisors

Dr. Denis DUPUY
Denis is team leader in U 869 Inserm who works on Genome regulation and evolution.
He supervise the Igem Bordeaux team for the 3rd year , help us to avoid mistakes in our experiments. He authorize the team to work in his lab wich is equipped for experiment in genetics. This is why we needed the help of other persons in the institute.
Denis worked with us to success in our project , he find the idea of the project « elasticoli » we worked together to find brainstorming idea , communication , human practices…
Dr. Elisabeth GARANGER
Elisabeth is a team leader in CNRS unite LCPO wich work on Peptide-based polymer assemblies. She was present every time to advice the team about Elastin Like Peptid synthesis and permit to use different machines and solvents
Dr. Marie Beurton-Aimar
maître de conférences au Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique.
Host lab :
Bordeaux IGEM team was hosted at the European Institute of Chimistry and Biology , which permits to many scientist to share and develope their project, there is team reasercher of different domains.

Some lab hosted by IECB provided us all the machines necessary for microbiology and molecular biology such as centrifuges, PCR machines, sterile hoods, freezers, incubators, microscopes, plate readers, glassware, a NanoDrop machine, etc.. We were in charge of taking care of the stocks as well as ordering lab consumables such as gloves, plates, pipettes, tips, and tubes as well as chemicals and DNA. All the media preparation and the glassware washing was done by us.

Dr Sebastien Fribourg’s Group :
The team work on structural bochimistry, the team leader permits to us to use the sonicator to lyse our bacterium before centrifugation, their different centrifuges and materials for protein production.
- Lionel Beaurepaire Research Engineer adviced us to modify the production and purification protocol , in order to get more rentability. He guided the team to improve our protein production
Dr. Axel Innis group :
In this lab they work on Translational Regulation of Gene Expression , Axel authorized the acces to his lab for our team. We daily used nanodrop , hot centrifuge
- Dr. Britta SEIP, Post-doc
- Carolin SEEFELDT, Graduate student
Those two scientist adviced us about the right technics to adopt to succes in our experiments, they help us to correct the way that we employed to precipit proteins.
