Our Team
An important part of the iGEM competition, aside from working in the lab, is getting in contact with people outside of our team. Not just for fun, though, but in order to spread the idea of using synthetic biology for the benefit of humanity.
SPREADING THE WORD
After the successful participation of the first team from the TU Braunschweig in the iGEM-competition last year we, the iGEM Team 2014, want to represent the collegiate research from Braunschweig on the international floor.
This year we will participate with a mixed team of motivated bachelor and master students from the fields of biology and biotechnology. We are coached by Dr. Torsten Meyer who will assist us with words and deeds during the project. Until the end of october we will work to bring our iGEM project to a successful end.

Our Intern Benjamin
In August we had a visitor in our lab for two weeks. Benjamin, a pupil from a local school, had decided to expand his knowledge on Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology. He proved to be very keen to learn new things and to become a valuable albeit short-term member of our team. Here is how he evaluates his stay with us:
