ABOUT
What is the iGEM Competition?
The International Genetically Engineered Machine competition (iGEM) is the premiere undergraduate Synthetic Biology competition. Student teams are given a kit of biological parts at the beginning of the summer from the Registry of Standard Biological Parts. Working at their own schools over the summer, they use these parts and new parts of their own design to build biological systems and operate them in living cells. more...

SPECIAL EVENTS - REGIONAL LOUNGES

The Giant Jamboree is soon approaching and here at iGEM HQ we are thrilled that the event will be held for the first time at the Hynes Convention Center. This new venue has over 130,000 square feet, giving us the opportunity to host special events such as panels, workshops and region specific rooms. A Regional Lounge will provide a space where teams can get together and connect with each other. Host can coordinate information sessions, panels, workshops, social hours, and more. Lounges we are currently working on include:

Asia
