8/15 Project DiscriptionOur aim is to control accumulation and excretion of substances by cell-cell communication in Escherichia coli. We have two projects based on this aim. The first one is to construct E. coli which can collect hardly-soluble phosphate from soil and then distribute to plants. The second one is to control the population of E. coli by using production of signal molecules and cysteine, because cysteine can be both nutritious and toxic for E. coli. |
