Introduction
iGEM teams are very flexible! In this page we have a couple of suggestions on how to get started.
You can find more examples of previous teams and their projects in their wikis, and if you have any further questions, please contact iGEM Headquarters.
Team Members
iGEM teams are made up of Students, Advisors, Instructors, and an Organizer.
Students:
Undergraduates at an accredited college or university who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree at the time of registration. Teams can include at a master's program We recommend finding 8 - 12 students from various disciplines, backgrounds, and levels of expertise.
Registration and Fees
Registration will open on (TBD)
Team registration: A $3500 USD team registration fee is required for each team. (due: TBD). World Championship attendance fees: For teams that advance to the World Championship, attendance fees are TBD. For more information about fees see team registration fee page or the attendance fee page.
Requirements
There are a few requirements that you must follow to participate in iGEM. Be sure to read through them and ask questions if anything needs to be clarified.
