Rules and Regulations
Basic Safety Equipment Required
- Gloves - Protect your hands from bacteria and the epoxy
- Safety Goggles - Protect your eyes from possible spillages / toxic materials
- Lab Coat - Protects clothes and body from hazardous reagents and fire
Basic Sterilization Procedures:
- Ethanol - Kills 99.8% of all bacteria and is used to disinfect lab equipment and tools
- Alcohol Lamp - takes care of the remaining .2% and provides a small rising air current which makes it harder for bacteria to contaminate our cultures.
