In addition to being a member of the UNC iGEM team, she will be completing her Honors Thesis in the Dayton Lab in the upcoming academic year, where she is studying the effects of dual frequency ultrasound waveforms on microbubble cavitation for cancer treatment. Her research interests include synthetic biology and cancer technologies. Aside from research, she works a volunteer EMT and heads the philanthropic efforts of her sorority. In her free time she enjoys socializing and playing sports with her friends.</p> |

Undergraduate Students Sidney LisanzaSidney is a first year student born in Nairobi, Kenya, and currently resides in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. At the moment he is undecided about his major, but believes it will be in the sciences. In addition to being on the UNC iGEM team, he is excited to be working in the Hahn Lab this academic year under Dr. Azoitei to study and develop biological tools for the understanding of biological processes. His academic and non-academic interests include synthetic biology, molecular biology, neuroscience, particle physics, running, and spending time with his family and friends. |
