Competent Cell Preparation
- Grow a liquid cell culture of the strain to be made competent overnight.
- Pipette 0.666ml of liquid cell culture with 0.333ml of 60% glycerol (to give an overall percentage glycerol 20% and total volume of 1ml) into an eppendorf tube.
- Put into the freezer at -80°C.
