The Sat Sapienti Foundation provides endowments to research concerning industrial impact on the environment in Norway. They also support maintenance and improvements of historic memorials, in addition to contributing to public museums.
Programme for Bioinformatics, NTNU
The Programme for Bioinformatics (PBI) is based on interdisciplinary cooperation between research groups in medicine, biology and informatics at NTNU. Through its activities, PBI facilitates the exhange of information between the special fields working on bioinformatics. The comitee of PBI has members from the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology, and the Faculty of Information Technology, Mathematics and Electrical Engineering.
Skretting
Skretting is the worlds largest producer of feed for farmed fish and shrimp. With their global presence spanning five continents, they produce over 1.8 million tonnes of feed annualy for more than 60 species of farmed fish and shrimp. Skretting is owned by the international feed group Nutreco.
SpareBank 1 SMN
SpareBank 1 SMN is the largest finance group operating in Central Norway, and its main office located in Trondheim, Norway. They are one six members of the SpareBank 1 Alliance, and have more than 1100 employees. In addition to offering consumer and corporate banking services, the group owns several daughter companies, with activities in areas such as Real Estate and Accounting.
GenScript
GenScript is a leading gene, peptide, protein and antibody research partner for fundamental life science research, translational biomedical research, and early stage pharmaceutical development. Since its establishment in 2002, GenScript has exponentially grown to become a global leading Contract Research Organization that provides services and products to scientists in 86 countries worldwide.
NTNU Rectorate
The rectorate of NTNU consists of an executive board, composed of the Rector, three Pro-Rectors and two Directors. Rector Gunnar Bovim is in charge of NTNU's academic and administrative activities. The Rector also serves as secretary to the NTNU's Board, to whom he also reports. The Rector acts on behalf of NTNU and is a go-between for the Board and the outside world in order to follow up Board decisions. The Rector is also responsible for NTNU's finances and keeps the Board continually informed regarding accounts and finances.
Geneious
First released in 2005, Geneious is one of the world's leading bioinformatics software platforms, used by over 2,500 universities and institutes and commercial companies in more than 65 countries. Geneious is used by all 20 of the top 20 Universities globally (Times Higher Education, 2012) and by seven of the ten largest Pharmaceutical companies.
Enova
Enova is owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Oil and Petroleum, and was founded in 2001 to "drive forward the changeover to more environmentally friendly consumption and generation of energy in Norway". The organization has 60 employees, and is based in Trondheim. In order to achieve their stated goals, Enova works closely with public and private enterprises in order to reduce energy consumption and simultaneously increase power generation from renewable sources.
