Lab work safety

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) Laboratory Biosafety Manual, the rank of our lab is classified as BSL1 (bio-safety level1), which is the lowest risk. There will be no harm to researchers under proper precautionary measures.

Professional biological lab training was carried out before experiment to ensure all the team members are qualified to work in the lab. The training covers molecular biology, biochemistry, cytobiology and physiology.

Moreover, the safety instructions set prior to the start are always followed strictly. We wear white coats and gloves all the time in the lab as required. The UV light of laminar flow is kept open before and after experiment to kill bacteria.

Team members’ safety is our first concern. The dry-work space was separated from the wet-work space to prevent the harm of reagents. Additionally, lab is cleaned everyday and eating is not allowed in the lab.

We pay attention to every detail in our experiment to guarantee the safety of ourselves and lab.
