Dr. David Low is a professor and researcher in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at UCSB. He is one of the world’s leading researchers in E. coli and has had his work published in prestigious journals like Science and Nature.



Dr. Omar Saleh is the director of the department of Biomolecular Science and Engineering (BMSE) and associate professor in the Materials department at UCSB.



Graduate Students

Dan Nguyen is a graduate student in the BMSE department. He completed his undergraduate degree at Harvard University.
Christina Beck is a graduate student in the MCDB department. She completed her undergraduate degree at UCSB.

UCSB iGEM was formed by an interdisciplinary group of undergraduates at UCSB. Several university faculty members and graduate students advise the team.
