- |
We | + |
MFC (Microbial Fuel Cell) can be utilized for power generation through the conversion of organic and inorganic substrates by microorganisms. When we are in the beginning of searching project topics, we read some great projects about generating electric from E. Coli and some other microorganisms. We use wiki sites of Bielefeld 2013 and TU Darmstadt when we were planning to design a microorganism which can generate electricity through MFC in the process of PET degredation. But at that time we focus on the degredation process of PET until Catechol. But because we obtained that Catechol can not use in biological pathways as biproduct we decided to focus on PET production until pyruvate which is a substance that can be used by organisms directly in their metabolic pathways. But we know that overproduction of H ions can be used for electric generation, in the following years it is possible to obtain electricity while we are degrading our PETs!
|
