Chesapeake Bay Foundation Visit!
Iowis Zhu and Sampada Koshatwar worked at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Oyster Restoration/Oyster Gardening Center.
Oyster Farm Visit
From left: Iowis Zhu, Janine Taira, oyster farmer Kevin McClaren, Cami Uechi, and Adip Bhargav. The team spoke with an oyster farmer to learn more about the different perspectives surrounding the dermo infestation levels in the Chesapeake.
Churchill School Visit
Junior Pavel Vlasov presented the project to students at Winston Churchill High School to foster interest in synthetic biology.
Colloboration Visits

Visit to the DNR
Janine Taira, Iowis Zhu, Aditya Biswas and Andrew Zhao all visited the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to learn more about Dermo, including current laboratory detection methods.
