Preparation of plasmids on a small scale

Procedure

1. Pick a single colony from a plate, give it in a a 15 ml Falcon-tube with 10 ml LB-medium and incubate at 37 °C and overnight.
2. Pelletize 3 ml of the overnight-culture and discard the supernatant.
3. Continue according to the Quiagen QIAprep ® Spin Miniprep Kit Manual or the Biozyme EasyPrep ® Pro Plasmid Miniprep Kit Manual.
4. Store at – 20 °C.
