Today was a day of many debates! Unfortunately our transformation did not work once again. We had doubts, because the negative control was growing. We got to a conclusion on what the problem might be:

I) A mutation in Escherichia coli RR1 that makes it resistant to chloramphenicol;

II) Chloramphenicol in our lab is contaminated.
