Overview

It is known that the length of anti-sense is related to its repression efficiency (Nakashima 2006), but it is not yet found that the detail between length of anti-sense and their repression efficiency. In this study, we made many kinds of anti-sense that commonly contain anti-RBS sequence but have different length of anti-CDS sequence, and compared their repression efficiencies. The target gene was mRFP and its RBS, B0034. We made anti-senses containing B0034’s reverse sequence, each anti-sense is 30bp, 60bp, 90bp, 120bp, 150bp. 30bp anti-sense covers only B0034.
