Overview
In agriculture, insect problems have existed for a long time, and have been difficult to be solved. In addition, all agricultural products on earth every year suffer from harm and damage caused by these insects. Therefore, it goes without saying that insect problem can be regard as a global economic problem.

PBAN
Losses caused by pests on crops include direct damage, drug costs and the experimental costs, The loss which is most difficult to estimate is the consumption of medical resources on human health hazards caused by pesticides.

Brobrick
We can see this credible chart, insect damage recorded in Brazil region, pests generally reduce crop yields by 10 percent, which is each crop have reduced the value of hundreds of millions.

Hello ! I’m Cheng Lung Lu, majoring in Biotechnology. I joined IGEM because I want to do something to help people around the world, and NCTU Formosa give me a chance not only to expound my idea but also carry out my dream. Now I’m very excited to know all the ideas from members in IGEM!

Hello ! I’m Sam Hsieh,a freshman majoring in Biological Science and Technology at National Chiao Tung University. Feng Chi Wu
I’m Frankie Wu. Instead majoring in biology, I’m in Chemistry department now. Since I’m very intestered in molecular biology, I joined NCTU igem team this year. Wish i could give some other different suggestions from the aspect of CHEM, contributing to this wonderful team.
