Patrick is pursuing an undergrad degree in biotechnology at RWTH Aachen University. Right now he’s working on his thesis at Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology in Aachen. Besides his bachelor thesis Patrick participates in a UROP research project mentored by the RWTH Institute for Molecular Biotechnology. Both projects concern the innovative use of plant biotechnology.

Patrick’s attention to the iGEM competition was drawn by his interests in molecular approaches. Through participating in iGEM, he’d like to realize a project from fundraising to completion. He also wants to gain more experience in interdisciplinary teamwork. In his free time Patrick repairs his 13 year old car or does sports.
