Integration by rewiring!

If the synthetic circuits can be rewired, we will be able to reuse the existing module to implement another function. In our project, we alter the topological structure of regulatory pathway according to the environmental change.

I have a work plan!

The operation mode of our mini machine is dependent on a time-sharing system for information processing induced by the input signals, which drives function A firstly and function B latter by the rewiring process.

Besides, the system have a potential to improve the adaptability of engeneering life. Choosing certain endogenous signals as input and appropriate elements as output will help it survival in different environment.

I have a dream that one day I will become a super Transformer!

With deepper excavation and more designs, we believes our rewirable curcuits will significantly contribute to creating smart biological information processing systerms and solve real world problems.

Background »

Crosstalk and host overload often prevents us to combine parts and modules to create larger scale systems. In our project, we proposed an elegant method to implement systems integration.

Wetlab »

To realize our idea about rewirable circuits, we should conduct experiments to construct circuits, verify assumptions and test our devices whether they works as expected or not.

Modeling »

Mathematic model not only helps us predict and analyze the phenomena, but also contributes to the design of genetic circuits. We hope that any other researches can get insight from the mathematic model and make the rewirable circuit widely used.

Outreach »

We really focus on the communication between peers, we have made many progress and also on account of the abstract theme we chosen. This year we tried to understand it in another way: Humanities and Aesthetics, Economics and Law.
